FEDERAL CHARGES OF DISCRIMINATION HAVE BEEN FILED AGAINST FIRST SOLAR .
On February 15th ,2008 I filed federal discrimination charges with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission at the Detroit Michigan Field Office. I believe I have been racially discriminated against.

TERRENCE MCLELLAN IS STILL WORKING .HE IS AN AFRICAN AMERICAN MAN THAT HAS HAD 3 INCIDENTS ON A FORKLIFT ( HE HIMSELF TOLD ME THAT HE HAD HIS THIRD INCIDENT IN DEC. 2007) THIS IS WHY HE IS NOT DRIVING THE FORKLIFT NOW. AND NOW ERIC PITZEN IS DRIVING FORK LIFT FOR HIM, UNTIL HIS FORKLIFT LICENSE IS RENEWED APPROX 1 YEAR FROM NOW.
ERIC HIMSELF TOLD ME THIS.
YET, THEY FIRED ME THE WHITE MAN, AND KEPT TERRENCE ALTHOUGH HE HAS THE SAME AND POSSIBLY MORE INCIDENTS THAN ME. FIRST SOLAR WHITE COLLAR MANAGEMENT , CHIP HAMBRO, BY - PASSED POLICY AND HIRED ANOTHER AFRICAN AMERICAN MAN THAT HAD NOT PASSED TESTING, AGAIN DISCRIMINATING AGAINST WHITE MEN.
I KNOW THE MAN PERSONALLY THAT CHIP HIRED OUTSIDE OF POLICY. HE TOLD ME HIMSELF THAT THIS HAPPENED. IT IS PLAIN THAT FIRST SOLAR HAS LIED AND IN MY OPINION DISCRIMINATED AGAINST ME.
NOW I HAVE FOUND OUT THE THE SUPERVISION AT FIRST SOLAR HAS CONFRONTED THIS MAN ABOUT REVEALING THE DISCRIMINATING ACT. ONE GOOD THING IS THAT FIRST SOLAR CANNOT FIRE HIM OR OTHERS THAT HAVE EMAILED AND CALLED US IF THEY TAKE PART IN ANY INVESTIGATION THAT IS DONE BY EEOC. DON'T BE AFRAID. TELL THE TRUTH
I HAVE SPOKE WITH OTHER EMPLOYEES THAT ARE VERY UPSET WITH FIRST SOLAR BUT ARE AFRAID TO VOICE THEY'RE OPINION. IN THE PAST ,FIRST SOLAR HAS SENT OUT LETTERS TO TRY TO KEEP THE EMPLOYEES FROM ORGANIZING A UNION. THEY KNOW THAT A UNION WOULD HELP TO PUT A STOP TO NUMEROUS UNFAIR TREATMENT TO EMPLOYEES. WE ARE DETERMINED TO GET THE WORD OUT ABOUT THIS COMPANY

Michael J. Ahearn Chief Executive Officer, Chairman
Michael J. Ahearn has served as the CEO and Chairman of First Solar since August 2000. He served as President of First Solar from August 2000 to March 2007. Since 1996, he has been Partner and President of the equity investment firm, JWMA (formerly True North Partners, L.L.C.), the majority stockholder of First Solar. Prior to joining JWMA, Mr. Ahearn practiced law as a partner in the firm of Gallagher & Kennedy. He received both a B.A. in Finance and a J.D. from Arizona State University.
Bruce Sohn President
Bruce Sohn joined First Solar in March 2007 as President. Mr. Sohn was formerly a senior executive at Intel Corporation and has served on First Solar's Board of Directors since 2003. During his 24 years at Intel, Mr. Sohn played a leadership role in developing and manufacturing leading-edge semiconductor technology. He served as an integral part of the start-up team at five Fabs, was program manager for Intel's conversion to 300mm wafers and managed Intel's two largest Fabs. Mr. Sohn is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is a certified Jonah and has been a guest lecturer at several universities including MIT and Stanford. He has published research in a variety of high technology topics including: applying constraint theory to semiconductor process lines, high-volume factory design, silicon surface defects, oxygen gettering, gate oxide quality, transistor design and statistical design of experiments. As First Solar's President, Mr. Sohn is responsible for technology development, manufacturing, expansion, quality, sales, EHS, supply chain, MIS and worldwide human resources.
Jens Meyerhoff Chief Financial Officer
Jens Meyerhoff joined First Solar in May 2006 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining First Solar, Mr. Meyerhoff was the Chief Financial Officer of Virage Logic Corporation, a leader in embedded infrastructure intellectual property, from January 2006 to May 2006. Mr. Meyerhoff was employed by FormFactor, Inc., a manufacturer of advanced wafer probe cards, as Chief Operating Officer from April 2004 to July 2005, Senior Vice President of Operations from January 2003 to April 2004 and Chief Financial Officer from August 2000 to March 2005. Prior to joining FormFactor, Inc., Mr. Meyerhoff was the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Materials at Siliconix Incorporated, a manufacturer of power and analog semiconductor devices, from March 1998 to August 2000. Mr. Meyerhoff holds a German Wirtschaftsinformatiker degree, which is the equivalent of a Finance and Information Technology degree, from Daimler Benz' Executive Training Program.
Kenneth M. Schultz Executive Vice President, Global Marketing & Business Development
Kenneth M. Schultz joined First Solar in November 2002 as Vice President of Sales & Marketing and was named Executive Vice President, Global Marketing & Business Development in 2007. Prior to joining First Solar, he was a Vice President at Intersil Corporation, a high performance analog semiconductor company, where he was responsible for commercializing various communications technologies, from October 2000 to June 2002. Mr. Schultz was Vice President and General Manager at SiCOM, Inc. prior to the acquisition of SiCOM by Intersil Corporation in 2000. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and received his M.B.A. degree from Robert Morris University.
John Gaffney Executive Vice President & General Counsel
John Gaffney joined First Solar in January 2008 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Gaffney leads First Solar's legal, corporate development, government affairs, and corporate communications activities. Mr. Gaffney was formerly a partner at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP where he advised numerous corporate and financial institution clients on merger, acquisition and capital markets transactions. Mr. Gaffney received a B.A. from George Washington University and a J.D. and an M.B.A. from New York University.
Carol Campbell Vice President, Human Resources
PLEASE ADD MATT DILLS ( FROM FIRST SOLAR HUMAN RELATIONS) TO THE LIST AND CALL FIRST SOLAR AND LET HIM ALSO KNOW HOW SILLY IT WAS FOR HIM TO LATER USE SAFETY ISSUE ABOUT GERRY . NUMEROUS SUPERVISION LIED TO GERRY AND TOLD HIM HE WOULD NOT LOSE HIS JOB IF HE EVER HAD A THIRD FORKLIFT INCIDENT. AFTER TELLING GERRY HE WOULD BE GOING BACK TO PRODUCTION ON WEDNESDAY DEC. 19TH 2007. EVELYN BUCKANMEYER CALLED OUR HOME AND TOLD HIM TO STAY IN SHIPPING JUST A SHORT TIME UNTIL HIS REPLACEMENT CAME. THE SHORT TIME TURNED INTO 2 AND 1/2 MORE WEEKS. WE ASK MATT DILLS WHY TERRANCE MCLELLAN IS STILL EMPLOYED AND GERRY IS TERMINTATED. HE REFUSED TO ANSWER. YET, HE TRIED TO THEN SAY THAT GERRY WAS A SAFETY THREAT TO FELLOW WORKERS IF HE WAS ON THE FORKLIFT. WE TOLD MATT DILLS THIS IS A STUPID STATEMENT. HERE IS WHY. IF YOU AS MANGEMENT THOUGHT GERRY WAS A SAFETY THREAT, WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE HIM ON A JOB THAT REQUIRES FORKLIFT OPERATION FOR ANOTHER 2 AND 1/2 WEEKS , TO PUT ALL THE EMPLOYEES AT RISK ? COME ON MATT, THAT WAS A STUPID STATEMENT.
WHY DIDN'T FIRST SOLAR TELL HIM NOT TO GET BACK ON THE FORKLIFT AND JUST WORK IN SHIPPING LIKE TERRANCE MCLELLAN WAS DOING, UNTIL GERRY WAS MOVED TO HIS PRODUCTION JOB ? GERRYS TEAM LEADER ,BOB MOWERY ASKED GERRY TO COME AND USE THE FORKLIFT TO GET PARTS OUT OF THE EVA ROOM.
GERRY WAS HESITANT ABOUT GETTING ON THE FORKLIFT BUT, SINCE NICK BEAKAS HAD ALREADY INFORMED HIM THAT EVEN IF HE HAD A THIRD INCIDENT "DON'T FREAK OUT" WAS HIS ACTUAL WORDS TO GERRY. HE TOLD GERRY HE WOULD LOSE HIS FORKLIFT DRIVING LICENSE, BUT NOT HIS JOB. BOB OPENED THE OVERHEAD DOOR FOR GERRY TO COME IN AND GET THE PARTS. BOB IS PARTIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DOOR GETTING BENT SINCE HE DID NOT OPEN IT ALL THE WAY UP , BUT LEFT IT ABOUT 3 OR 4 INCHES TOO LOW.
YOU WOULD THINK BOB AS A LEADER WOULD KNOW TO OPEN THE OVERHEAD DOOR ALL THE WAY UP FOR A FORKLIFT TO ENTER THE ROOM. GERRY ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE DOOR AND BENT IT. HE WAS FIRED BEFORE HIS NEXT SHCEDULED WORK DAY. YET. THE AFRICAN AMERICAN MAN NAMED TERRANCE MCLELLAN, HAS HAD AS MANY AND POSSIBLY MORE DAMAGE INCIDENTS THAN GERRY, AND TERRANCE IS STILL EMPLOYED AND WORKING IN SHIPPING . ACCORDING TO WHAT WE KNOW ( WHICH IS THAT TERRANCE HAS STATED TO GERRY HIMSELF THAT HE HAS HAD THREE FORKLIFT INCIDENTS), THAT FIRST SOLAR BLATANTLY DISCRIMINATED AGAINST THE WHITE MAN
GERRY HAS WORKED OVERTIME WHEN ASKED, WAS PART OF THE FIRST RESPONDER SAFETY TEAM. HAS A GREAT WORK HISTORY,WAS NEVER LATE FOR WORK, AND IS VERY WELL LIKED BY EVERYONE THAT HAS HAD THE PLEASURE TO WORK WITH HIM. FIRST SOLAR IS A COMPANY THAT IN OUR OPINION , AND ACCORDING TO THE FACTS AS WE HAVE BEEN TOLD BY TERRANCE AND THE OTHER AFRICAN AMERICAN MAN THAT WAS HIRED AGAINST POLICY, THAT DISCRIMINATES AGAINST THE WHITE MAN, AND NEEDS TO STOP THIS UNFAIR SAD POLICY
